Speech-Language Pathologist

If there's one thing I've got going for me, it's that, when I get passionate about something, I'm really passionate about it. I love helping people communicate. I feel amazing when I leave my clients' homes knowing that I've helped them achieve a new level of communication... like when that middle-school boy described how he had his first 30-minute conversation with some classmates, or when a nonverbal 24-year-old independently used an AAC device to express her needs for the VERY FIRST TIME. Thankfully, my career has been full of these "eureka" moments!

My background includes working with autism, behavioral regulation, executive functioning skills, social thinking, articulation, early intervention, fluency, accent modification, cerebral palsy, selective mutism, a variety of syndromes, and augmentative & alternative communication (AAC). I have also done many parent and community trainings on ASD, development and AAC, and am always open to doing more. I've received trainings on Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking, Video Modelling, Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), Talking Mats, PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets)  and Challenging Behaviors.

I am licensed in the State of California (license # SP27134), and have my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Request a free 15-minute phone consultation now to see if I might be the best match for your family's needs! Even if it doesn't work out, I'm happy to talk with you about whatever communication challenges you're facing, and share any pertinent resources. What Clients Are Saying

"I whole heartedly recommend Rachel since she's an amazing therapist and helped work with my daughter and provided a lot of help to our family and we all loved her. As a person and a therapist she is the best you can ever ask for."

Rosa D

"Mrs. Rachel has been one of our favorite speech therapists to work with. She worked extremely well with our non-verbal son. Watching my son hold a conversation with his communication device with her made my heart melt. She is not only knowledgeable in her field, but has a warm and caring heart to work with a special child. One day,  we even enjoyed an outing at the zoo and my son was once again able to communicate his joy. We are for ever thankful for her devotion and beyond pleased with all the hours of speech our son enjoyed with her."
